Experience the Benefits of Acupuncture at Palm Coast Acupuncture and Chiropractic
At Palm Coast Acupuncture and Chiropractic, we are dedicated to providing you with holistic, effective, and personalized care. Acupuncture, one of the cornerstones of Traditional Chinese Medicine, offers a natural way to restore balance and promote healing in the body. By stimulating specific points on the body with ultra-fine needles, acupuncture helps to release blockages, enhance circulation, and activate the body’s own healing response.
Why Palm Coast
Benefits of Acupuncture
Acupuncture has been practiced for thousands of years and is known for its wide range of health benefits. Our patients choose acupuncture for many reasons, including:
- Pain Relief: Acupuncture is highly effective for reducing pain by promoting blood flow and releasing endorphins, the body’s natural painkillers. Whether you’re experiencing chronic pain, sports injuries, or general discomfort, acupuncture can help alleviate pain and promote faster recovery.
- Immune Support: Acupuncture may help with immune function and support overall resilience. This is especially helpful during cold and flu season or when you’re feeling run down.
- Enhanced Digestion: By targeting specific acupoints that support digestive health, acupuncture can help relieve issues such as bloating, constipation, and acid reflux. It promotes overall digestive balance and supports nutrient absorption.
- Improved Sleep: If you’re struggling with insomnia or irregular sleep patterns, acupuncture can help improve the quality and duration of your sleep by addressing the underlying imbalances and calming the nervous system.
- Stress Reduction: Acupuncture helps to balance the body’s stress response by regulating hormones and promoting relaxation. Many patients report feeling deeply relaxed during and after their sessions, making it an excellent treatment for managing stress and anxiety.
If you prefer no needles, ask about laser acupuncture. We also offer cosmetic acupuncture and help with digestive health, and you can read patient success stories.

Frequently Asked Questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
Most people feel very little. Acupuncture needles are hair-thin, nothing like a shot. You may feel a brief pinch, a dull ache or warmth, and many patients relax or fall asleep during treatment.
How long is a visit?
Plan on being here about an hour. That includes check-in, your interview and exam with Dr. Heather, and check-out. The treatment itself, while you relax with the needles in, usually lasts about 30–40 minutes depending on your needs.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on the condition and how long you’ve had it, but most patients need about 7–10 visits. Dr. Heather will give you a recommended plan after your first visit and check your progress as you go.
Does Medicare cover acupuncture?
Medicare covers acupuncture only for chronic low back pain, and only when it’s billed by a Medicare-enrolled physician, physician assistant or nurse practitioner. A licensed acupuncturist can’t bill Medicare directly, so acupuncture at our clinic isn’t a Medicare-covered service. Ask us about our self-pay rates.
Do you accept insurance or VA Community Care?
Veterans with an approved VA Community Care referral can receive acupuncture with us. For other plans, call us at (386) 225-6134 and we’ll check your benefits.
Are the needles safe and sterile?
Yes. We use only sterile, single-use, disposable needles, and Dr. Heather is a licensed acupuncture physician in Florida.
