Chiropractic & Rehab
Provided by Dr. Bryan Schuerlein, DC, sports chiropractor, in practice since 2014.
Chiropractic Care
Chiropractic care uses hands-on adjustments to restore motion in the spine and joints and reduce pain. Every case starts with a thorough exam and, when needed, on-site X-rays. It is commonly used for neck pain, back pain, headaches and joint stiffness, and is paired with rehab so results last. Learn more about Chiropractic Care →
Sports Chiropractic
Sports chiropractic focuses on getting athletes and active adults back to training. Dr. Bryan combines adjustments, soft tissue work and corrective exercise to fix the movement problems behind sprains, strains and overuse injuries. It is for everyone from weekend runners to competitive athletes. Learn more about Sports Chiropractic →
DRX9000 Spinal Decompression
The DRX9000 is an FDA-cleared, computer-controlled decompression system that gently stretches the spine to relieve pressure on discs and nerves in both the low back (lumbar) and neck (cervical). It is used for disc herniations, bulging discs, sciatica, pinched nerves and degenerative disc disease when patients want a non-surgical option. We are the only clinic in Palm Coast with a DRX9000 on-site. Learn more about DRX9000 Spinal Decompression →
Cox Flexion-Distraction
Cox flexion-distraction is a gentle, table-assisted technique that flexes and lightly stretches the spine without forceful adjustments. It is especially helpful for sudden low back pain flare-ups and lumbar muscle spasms that make movement painful, as well as disc problems and spinal stenosis. It is a good fit for patients who prefer a low-force approach.
Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT)
Sacro Occipital Technique (SOT) is a gentle chiropractic method that uses padded wedges under the pelvis, letting body weight and breathing ease the pelvis and low back into better alignment. It is a low-force option for patients who prefer not to have manual adjustments.
Arthrostim Instrument Adjusting
The Arthrostim is a handheld instrument that delivers rapid, gentle taps to adjust joints without twisting or popping. It is a good option for patients who are uncomfortable with manual adjustments, older adults and sensitive areas.
Prenatal Chiropractic
Prenatal chiropractic uses gentle, pregnancy-safe techniques, including the Webster Technique, to ease low back, hip and pelvic discomfort as your body changes. Specialized positioning and supports keep you comfortable at every stage. Learn more about Prenatal Chiropractic →
Auto Accident Care
After a car accident, we provide a full evaluation, on-site X-rays when indicated and a treatment plan for whiplash, back pain and soft tissue injuries. Florida PIP requires care within 14 days of the accident, and we bill your PIP carrier directly. We also coordinate records with personal injury attorneys. Learn more about Auto Accident Care →
Neck Pain
We treat neck pain, stiffness and tension from posture, injury and whiplash. Care combines adjustments, soft tissue work and targeted exercises to restore comfortable motion. Learn more about Neck Pain →
Back Pain
Back pain care addresses low and mid back pain from strains, disc problems and long-term stiffness. Treatment combines adjustments, decompression when appropriate, and rehab to help keep pain from coming back. Learn more about Back Pain →
Headaches
Many headaches start in the neck and upper back. Adjustments, trigger point work and posture correction may help reduce how often headaches happen and how intense they are. Learn more about Headaches →
Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM)
IASTM uses smooth-edged stainless steel tools to break up scar tissue and restrictions in muscles and tendons. It is commonly used for tendinitis, plantar fasciitis and stubborn muscle tightness. Dr. Bryan helped develop his chiropractic college’s IASTM program, co-writing its training manual and designing its mini tool.
Assisted Joint Mobility (Pin & Stretch)
Assisted joint mobility frees up stuck, stubborn joints and muscles, such as a stiff shoulder. Dr. Bryan pins the tight area while guiding the joint through its range of motion, first passively and then with you actively moving, so you regain motion you can keep.
Manual Therapy
Manual therapy is hands-on treatment of muscles and joints, including joint mobilization and soft tissue release. It is used to restore motion and reduce pain, and is part of most treatment plans.
Trigger Point Therapy
Trigger point therapy applies sustained pressure to tight knots in muscle that can send pain elsewhere, such as headaches coming from neck muscles. Releasing these points can reduce pain and improve range of motion.
Assisted Stretching (PIR & PNF)
Assisted stretching uses post-isometric relaxation (PIR) and proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF), where you gently contract a muscle before it is stretched. These methods improve flexibility faster than passive stretching alone.
Therapeutic Exercise
Therapeutic exercise is the rehab side of care: specific exercises that rebuild strength, stability and movement control. You leave with a home program, so you understand your condition and keep your results.
Soft Tissue Therapy
Soft tissue therapy is hands-on work on muscles and fascia, performed by Dr. Bryan as part of your chiropractic visit. It relaxes tight muscles and supports recovery alongside adjustments.
Acupuncture & Chinese Medicine
Provided by Dr. Heather Schuerlein, acupuncture physician and Fellow of the Acupuncture and TCM Board of Reproductive Medicine (FABORM).
Acupuncture
Acupuncture uses fine, sterile, single-use needles at specific points to influence pain, circulation and the nervous system. Dr. Heather uses it for chronic pain, stress, sleep, digestion and women’s health. Most patients find treatments relaxing and nearly painless. Learn more about Acupuncture →
Women’s Health & Fertility
Women’s health acupuncture supports fertility, menstrual and hormonal concerns, pelvic floor issues, pregnancy and postpartum recovery. Dr. Heather works alongside patients’ fertility doctors, including during IVF and IUI cycles (we do not perform IVF or IUI in our office). Learn more about Women’s Health & Fertility →
Stress & Anxiety Relief
Acupuncture may help calm the nervous system and ease stress, anxiety and related symptoms such as poor sleep and muscle tension. Many patients find sessions deeply relaxing, and Dr. Heather may add herbal support when appropriate. Acupuncture complements, but does not replace, care from your mental health provider.
Allergies & Sinus Relief
Acupuncture and Chinese herbal medicine can help ease seasonal allergy and sinus symptoms such as congestion, sinus pressure and sinus headaches. Treatment often works best when started before allergy season and continued through it.
Neuropathy Support
Dr. Heather’s neuropathy protocol uses acupuncture and supportive therapies to help ease symptoms of peripheral neuropathy, such as numbness, tingling and burning in the hands and feet. It may also help with neuropathy symptoms from chemotherapy, working alongside your oncology team.
Cosmetic Acupuncture
Cosmetic acupuncture is a toxin-free facial treatment that uses fine needles to stimulate collagen and circulation. It is used to soften fine lines and improve skin tone without fillers or downtime, usually as a series of sessions. Learn more about Cosmetic Acupuncture →
Acupoint Injection Therapy
Acupoint injection therapy combines acupuncture points with small injections of approved solutions, such as vitamins and nutraceuticals, to extend the effect of treatment. It is commonly used for pain and tissue support. Learn more about Acupoint Injection Therapy →
Laser Acupuncture
Laser acupuncture stimulates acupuncture points with low-level laser light instead of needles. It is a gentle option for children, needle-sensitive adults and anyone who prefers to avoid needles. Learn more about Laser Acupuncture →
Chinese Herbal Medicine
Chinese herbal medicine uses customized formulas, prescribed after a full consultation, to support digestion, hormones, sleep and stress. Dr. Heather tailors each formula to the patient and reviews it alongside any current medications. Learn more about Chinese Herbal Medicine →
Cupping
Cupping uses suction cups on the skin to lift tissue and increase blood flow to tight muscles. It is commonly used for back and shoulder tension and can leave temporary circular marks.
Therapeutic Modalities
Often combined with chiropractic or acupuncture visits.
Shockwave Therapy
Shockwave therapy sends acoustic pressure waves into injured tissue to stimulate healing. It is used for stubborn tendon and soft tissue problems such as plantar fasciitis, tennis elbow and shoulder tendinitis.
Laser Therapy (Class 4)
Our Class 4 therapeutic laser delivers deep, targeted light energy to injured muscles, tendons and joints to help manage pain and support healing. Treatment is noninvasive, feels gently warm and usually takes only a few minutes.
Therapeutic Ultrasound
Therapeutic ultrasound uses sound waves to deliver gentle, deep heat to muscles, tendons and ligaments. It helps reduce pain and stiffness, supports soft tissue healing, and is often used before stretching or manual therapy.
TENS & TENS/Ultrasound Combination
TENS (transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation) uses mild electrical pulses through pads on the skin to reduce pain signals and relax muscles. We also offer a combined TENS and therapeutic ultrasound treatment, pairing deep heat with electrical stimulation in one session.
Celluma LED Light Therapy
Our Celluma LED light therapy uses red and near-infrared light to support tissue recovery, pain relief and skin health. Sessions are painless and pair well with cosmetic acupuncture or injury care.
PEMF Therapy
Pulsed electromagnetic field (PEMF) therapy uses low-frequency magnetic pulses to support circulation and recovery. It is a passive, relaxing treatment often added to pain and recovery plans.
Infrared Heat Therapy
Infrared heat warms muscles and joints to ease stiffness and improve circulation. It is often used to prepare tissue before hands-on treatment.
Frequency Specific Microcurrent (FSM)
Frequency specific microcurrent uses very low-level electrical current at specific frequencies to reduce pain and inflammation. Most patients feel nothing during treatment.
Massage & Diagnostics
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is provided by our licensed massage therapist (LMT) to relieve muscle tension, reduce stress and support recovery. It can be booked on its own or alongside chiropractic and acupuncture care.
Digital X-ray
We take digital X-rays on-site when clinically indicated, so you do not need a separate imaging appointment. Images are reviewed by a radiologist and help guide your care or referrals.
